OPSB pursues sale of former Swartz school The Ouachita Parish School Board should know sometime in December if it will be able to find a buyer for a closed elementary school in northeastern Ouachita Parish.
At a regular meeting Tuesday night, the School Board unanimously approved a measure to sell a utility easement across part of the former Swartz Elementary School property to Entergy.
Granting Entergy the easement will net the School Board roughly $36,000, according to business manager Juanita Duke.
