Class 4A Shaw at Neville
Neville Tigers coach Mickey McCarty has been busy on Forsythe Avenue this past week. On Sunday, the LHSAA released the pairings for the Class 4A playoffs and the Neville Tigers (9-0, 4-0) were rewarded for their perfect season by securing the No. one overall seed in the tournament.
The confusion came in on exactly who the Tigers would face. On Sunday, Neville was scheduled to play Riverdale out of the New Orleans area. Then on Monday, word came down that Lakeshore would be allowed to compete in the playoffs, which changed up the final two seeds.
Lakeshore, who was seeded at 31, will travel to face No. two seed St. Thomas More out of Lafayette, while Archbishop Shaw (3-6, 1-4) was bumped from No. 31 seed to No. 32 seed and will now face Neville.
