The right key unlocks the door

One afternoon my oldest granddaughter, Elizabeth, and I had returned from buying a basketball goal for her. When I tried to open the door to the house, it would not unlock. The reason the door did not open was that I had used the wrong key. As soon as I inserted the right key, it unlocked the door.

I thought to myself, "Isn't this a lot like life." The majority of the times when something does not work, we are trying to unlock the door to our plans with the wrong key. A simple act of trying to unlock the door with the wrong key taught me a quick lesson. Many times when we are not successful with our plans, we are simply using the wrong key. Choose the right key and the doors to your plans can be opened.

Oh, how many times have I failed to unlock the doors to my plans simply by using the wrong key? Now it does not necessarily mean that we don't have the right key. We are just not using the key that we need. And we must utilize all the keys that we have until we find the one that works.
