Monroe fires police officer A Monroe police officer at the center of a federal criminal probe was fired after an internal affairs investigation found he violated departmental policies.
In August, a federal grand jury indicted Monroe Police Cpl. Raul Johnson on multiple counts of mail fraud and making false statements to the FBI.
At that time, Johnson was placed on administrative leave by Monroe Police Department, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
