Kelly Craighead has a knack for working with students with exceptionalities.

After working as an instructional resource paraprofessional for six years, Craighead will complete her bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences this December at Northwestern State University.

Craighead still lives in West Monroe and she did not move to Northwestern. Instead, she earned her degree through NSU's online program.

"The most impressive part is that enrolling was so easy compared to other schools," Craighead said. "More of my credits transferred and there was much less red tape."
It took Craighead two and a half years to complete her degree.
