NLEP a valuable alliance

The North Louisiana Economic Partnership is proving to be a valuable alliance for the development of all of North Louisiana.

A merger of the Northeast and Northwest Economic Development Foundations was inaugurated on Jan. 1, 2011, which includes a 14-parish area of North Louisiana and encompasses Shreveport/Bossier and Monroe/West Monroe.

They have been able to bring new jobs to our area but also work with existing companies to retain jobs that otherwise may have been lost to our area. They are working with such companies as Gardner Denver Thomas and CenturyLink in the recruitment of qualified employees for their present and future growth demands. NLEP currently has 56 projects in the pipeline with 30 of those manufacturing.
