Crowded field vies for Clerk of Court

Louise Bond has worked at the Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court's office fore more than 26 years.

Bond was tapped to serve as interim Clerk of Court following the retirement of long-time clerk Bill Hodge. She said she wants a full term in the post because she has a goal: more of the same.

"Our office is a very well-run office," said Bond, who is one of seven candidates seeking to replace Hodge. "My motto has been if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
