The last 10 years have been good to Delta Community College.

That's the assessment of Delta Chancellor Luke Robbins, who was the keynote speaker at the Monroe Chamber of Commerce annual workforce development luncheon Tuesday.

"It's not about buildings," said Robbins. "It's not about programs and it's not about services. It's about the students and meeting their needs."

Delta Community College opened its doors in 2001. Since that time, student population has boomed. In 2011, some 2,965 students enrolled for classes at Delta.
