Dianne Cage: October 20, 2011
Mike and I have been married about 23 years. Looking back, when I was in sixth grade at Georgia Tucker, in the late spring of the year, an orientation trip was planned to our new school, Neville High. All were so excited to be introduced to their new school for the next six years. We were seated in the balcony of the big auditorium with sixth grade classes from schools all over the city. The auditorium was packed with all the students for an end of the school year awards assembly. Guess who was the Senior Student Body President?
That is right, MIKE CAGE. It was the biggest crush at first sight, I forgot all about Roy Rogers and Gene Autry when I graduated from Neville in 1961. Mike was graduating from Medical School.
Fast forward 1961 to 1988. In this life it is not if you have problems, it is when! A divorce, deep depression, scared, worried, all the above I had a lot on my shoulders. My church, St. Paul's Methodist was having a Sunday evening covered dish supper and after Dr. Ron Sherman was going to speak on depression.
