Illegal signs inundate Twin Cities The sign stands at the corner of a major intersection, touting a candidate running for office. It cost the candidate about $200 but that money was well spent, because more than 5,000 cars pass that corner every day. The sign may be illegal, though.
Police Jury hopeful Stewart Cathey is familiar with the dilemma. Until recently, one of his signs stood at the intersection of Forsythe Avenue and 6th Street in Monroe.
Cathey said he was contacted by several people shortly after his campaign erected signs promoting his candidacy.
