Kilpatrick hosts first responder appreciation luncheon The area's first line of defense took center stage at the Monroe Civic Center on Tuesday at the 4th Annual Ouachita Parish Appreciation Luncheon.
Police officers from the City of Monroe and City of West Monroe joined deputies from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office and other emergency responders at a banquet held in their honor.
It is the fourth year Kilpatrick Funeral Home has hosted the banquet, which was designed to give community and government leaders the opportunity to express their appreciation and honor for the hard work and dedication demonstrated by the region's first responders.
Attendees included Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell and entertainer Hallie Yarbrough, a state champion fiddle player. |
