Rebels battle Lions
The area's two largest high schools meet with large playoff implications on the line this Friday as the Ouachita Lions (5-1) host the West Monroe Rebels (4-2).
West Monroe and Ouachita have traditionally tussled over the District 2-5A championship in this series that dates back to 1954. This season appears to be no different.
Despite the fact that each team still has three district games left on the schedule, the Friday contest seems to be the game that will sort everything out as both teams cruised to easy victories to open district play last week.
