Neville travels for big district opener

The Neville Tigers (5-0) travel to the Bastrop Rams (2-3) this week to begin District 2-4A play. Neville is coming off a 41-14 win at Class 5A foe Airline High School last Friday.

Neville gave up some big plays on defense but the Tiger offense leaned on the big play ability of quarterback John Diarse and wide receiver Brandon Walker to carry on the winning streak.
Diarse ran for 82 yards and two touchdowns on the ground while adding 204 yards and three touchdown passes, all to Walker.

The second touchdown pass to Walker, a 60-yard strike, came just before halftime and answered a previous score by Airline that pulled them within 21-14.
