Fall baseball camps open
Fall is a time when sports fans turn much of their attention to the football field as local teams across the area play on the gridiron. For some, however, the baseball diamond is still fresh in their minds. Recently, local college teams opened up fall practice in preparation for their spring schedules.
At the University of Louisiana-Monroe, head coach Jeff Schexnaider begins his sixth season as ULM head coach with plenty of returning talent back for a chance at a Sun Belt Conference title.
The Warhawks return 17 players from last year's squad, including a pair of weekend starting pitchers and six position starters.
