Sterlington entertains candidates

Candidates vying for public office in the northern reaches of Ouachita Parish turned out last Thursday at Sterlington Elementary School to court voters and to discuss matters close to the heart in the Sterlington community.

The Sterlington Chamber of Commerce and Frenchman's Bend Homeowners Association partnered to sponsor the public forum for candidates running for Ouachita Parish Sheriff, Ouachita Parish Police Jury, District C and state House of Representatives, District 14.

Each group of candidates fielded four questions submitted by members of the two organizations.
