Cultura meets
Cultura Book Club met Monday, Sept. 12, for their first meeting after the summer recess. The meeting was held in the guest house of Linda Armstrong, hostess along with Pat Funderburk and Loyce Whitlock.
The meeting was opened by Peggy Henderson, president. Minutes of the last meeting were read by secretary Angie Jones and approved. The treasurer's report was given by Pat McClendon as treasurer Pat Valentine was out of town.
Other items of interest included a letter from Frances Grantham stating her resignation from the club for personal reasons, and project Jean Halsell requested suggestions from the members for the annual charitable giving project.
