McHenry challenges Smiley in District E Patton McHenry wants to change the way the Ouachita Parish Police Jury manages drainage and flood control.
That's why he qualified to challenge Police Juror Shane Smiley in the Oct. 22 primary election.
Smiley, who represents District E, said he hoped voters re-elect him to a second term so he can finish many of the projects he started during his first four years on the Police Jury.
"I'd like to see through to the end the projects that are close to me and important to the people in my district, such as widening Finks Hideaway Road, which is scheduled to go out for bid later this year, and completion of Town and Country drainage improvements," said Smiley, a Monroe Republican. .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
