Quilt showcase planned
The 2011 Cotton Festival will be held from Wednesday, Oct. 19, through Sunday, Oct. 23, and a Qulit Showcase planned for the festival is seeking participants.
The quilt showcase will be exhibited in Bay 1 of the Joe Pate building.
Cash payouts will be made in three categories. Hand quilted pieced quilt: $500. Hand crafted appliqued: $400. Machine quilted pieced or appliques: $200.
The show will be open to any age.
Only full, queen or king size quilts will be accepted. Pre-printed quilts will not be accepted.
Entries will be accepted Monday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Bastrop Fairgrounds. |
