Business leaders joine Blueprint board Wayne Patterson, Vice President/North General Manager for Louisiana Machinery Company (The Caterpillar Dealer of Louisiana), leads a contingent of north Louisiana business and community leaders that have recently joined Blueprint Louisiana's Board of Trustees.
Other local leaders joining Patterson are Ruston transportation executive Jim Davison; James Madden and David Madden, Madden Contracting Company; and D&J Construction Company, which will split its seat on the board between President/CEO Richard Richardson and Chief Financial Officer Terry Baugh. The 52 members on Blueprint's Board of Trustees represent nine regions of the state — Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Houma/Thibodaux, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe/Ruston, New Orleans, the Northshore and Shreveport/Bossier.
One of Blueprint's founding Board members, Johnny Martin, Chairman and CEO of Roy O. Martin Lumber Company of Alexandria, is leading efforts to expand north Louisiana's representation on the Blueprint Board. "It's extremely important that we have all regions of the state sufficiently represented," Martin said. "We have accomplished a great deal over the last four years, but there's still more to be done."
Established in 2006, Blueprint Louisiana is a citizen-driven effort to identify and implement essential changes to make the state a better place to live and work. . |
