WOSC offers flu shots for seniors
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Senior citizens will have the opportunity to receive their annual flu vaccination at the West Ouachita Senior Center Friday, Sept. 30.

The shots are available to disabled and senior citizens of Ouachita Parish at no charge with Medicare Part B. Those without Medicare are asked to pay a $10 administration fee.
Pneumonia shots are also available upon request. The center notes, though, that current recommendations suggest only two lifetime pneumonia shots.

Those wanting the shots are recommended to pre-register by calling the West Ouachita Senior Center at (318) 324-1280. If you don't have an appointment, follow the schedule below:

A-H, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
I-N, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
O-Z, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The West Ouachita Senior Center is located at 1800 North 7th Street in West Monroe.
