District A candidates tout experience, goals

Ouachita Parish Police Juror Charles Jackson will face political newcomer Scotty Robinson in the Oct. 22 primary election.

Jackson was first elected to the District A seat in 2007.

Jackson is a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe. He and his wife, Dr. Gwenn Jackson, have lived in West Monroe since 1989 and in District A since 1992.

Robinson is a local businessman currently working as general manager at Plunk's Wrecker Service in West Monroe.
