Local businesses expand

Commercial construction continues to dot the landscape in both Monroe and West Monroe. If you haven't noticed, there is new construction on Cypress Street and North 7th Street in West Monroe.

Two companies have outgrown their present locations and are constructing new facilities to accommodate continued growth. Both are already in the West Monroe market but will soon occupy new facilities and add to the expansion and relocation of businesses in our market.

Achievers of Louisiana began when Jimmy Dortch and Jerry Adams formed a partnership with the installation of vinyl siding as their primary business. They opened in 1990 on Brent Road and have expanded their operation to include all types of building construction including solar energy, metal roofs, windows, sun rooms and an extensive remodeling business. Their new facility will be located at 2500 Cypress St. in West Monroe — where Cripps Exterminating was located for many years before relocating.
