Two candidates for the state Legislature are awaiting word on a pair of challenges to their residency requirements.

A challenge to Harris Brown's candidacy for the Senate District 35 seat is in the hands of state Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

Last week, Harold Eugene Hodges of Monroe filed a complaint with 4th Judicial District Attorney Jerry Jones, alleging Brown does not meet the requirements to run for the District 35 seat.
