Contest aids PAWS
PAWS of Northeast Louisiana will host its "Make Your Pet A Star" Calendar Photo Contest Fundraiser through the end of September.
Pet owners can show off their pets in the PAWS 2012 Calendar while raising funds for a good cause.
Enter your pet's photos online at www.pawsnela.org or by mail. See website for details.
Entry fees are $15 for the first photo and $5 for additional photos. Deadline for photo entries is Oct. 1. All entered photos will be featured in the calendar, but the 13 winning photos will represent the 12 months and cover of the PAWS 2012 Calendar. Calendars can be purchased for $15. Proceeds from the contest and calendar sales will benefit the PAWS of Northeast Louisiana Spay/Neuter Assistance Program.
PAWS is a non-profit organization that provides spay/neuter assistance to low-income pet owners, rescues animals from local shelters and visits hospitals and retirement homes with therapy dogs.
