Wild turkey federation sets weekend event
The Louisiana National Wild Turkey Federation Chapter will host a Louisiana Fall Classic Outreach Event Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Rifle Range in West Monroe.
The daylong event will offer fun for the entire family. Proceeds from the Louisiana Fall Classic Outreach Event will benefit the Louisiana NWTF Chapter and wildlife conservation.
The NWTF's Women in the Outdoors outreach program will offer women hands-on experience in archery, handgun usage, shotgunning, duct tape tote bag creation and more.
Youth ages 17 and under can try skeet shooting, archery and rock climbing through the NWTF's JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge, Ethics and Sportsmanship) outreach program. The NWTF's JAKES Take Aim shooting trailer, fully stocked with airguns, pellets, targets and other equipment, also will be at the event.
