Baby Bayou Classic returns

The "Baby Bayou Classic" will be played Friday as the Carroll Bulldogs host the Wossman Wildcats at 7 p.m.

The annual grudge match is one fans and alumni of the local schools look forward to each time the schedules are released. Both teams sport first-year starting quarterbacks and are coming off exact opposite results a week ago.

Carroll comes into the game fresh off an impressive season debut for quarterback Will Smith during a 48-8 win over Lake Providence. Smith threw seven touchdown passes as the Bulldogs dominated the Panthers. In all, Smith completed 10-of-15 passes for 223 yards against Lake Providence.
