Crosley Elementary's Pre-K initiative lauded

Pre-kindergarten students at Crosley Elementary for the past six years have gotten a head start on their school career thanks in large part to several local sponsors, along with Ouachita Parish Schools.

Recently, the sponsors were recognized by Coordinating and Development Corporation for their efforts in helping prepare young children for kindergarten.

Coordinating and Development Corporation (CDC) is a private, non-profit, member-supported corporation that serves the economic, community, workforce and business development needs of 10 parishes in north Louisiana, eight counties in northeast Texas and four counties in southwest Arkansas

CDC recently awarded its 2011 Annual Achievement Awards for "Education-Special Creative Activities" to Entergy, the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, Ouachita Parish Schools and Community Trust Bank.
