Martha Anderson: September 1, 2011
This week marks the second year of daughter Rosemary Anderson's death from an undefined cancer. Dr. Toby Frost, executive pastor at First West, sent this message using the scripture that helped Rosemary through the pain and grief to the glory of being with the Christ.
The photo shown at the right was taken on her final surprise trip to Cabo San Lucas...an unforgettable time with friend, Jana Brockman Seitz and our granddaughter, Ainsley. The trip was a gift from Lynn and James Moore. Remember our Rosemary (45), just two weeks before she died. Truly she reflected the peace that is beyond our understanding in the photo. Her best gift would be for us to know and have this peace too. ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST
Philippians 4:11-14 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This is a memory verse for all over-achieving, American Christians. Businessmen recite it before the big meeting. Football teams tape it to their lockers before the big game. This verse has been used to conjure courage, enhance performance, and inspire victory...even the victory of faith and trust when dying.
