Robinson declares candidacy for Police Jury Scotty Robinson this week officially announced his candidacy for the Ouachita Parish Police Jury District A seat.
District A currently is represented by Police Juror Charles Jackson, who is a candidate for re-election.
Robinson said he became interested in running for the Police Jury at the end of last year when some of the parish's budgetary issues were first brought to light.
"I kept up with the goings on at the Police Jury via The Ouachita Citizen, The News-Star and other local news outlets," Robinson said. "What really got my attention is when Mr. Jackson and the Police Jury decided that a new millage is the answer to the budget problems. As a small business owner for several years, I simply can't support any new taxes on the citizens of Ouachita Parish." .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
