Ouachita hopes to make impact in 2-5A

Excitement and aspirations of another deep football playoff run abound at Ouachita this season. The Lions finished the 2010 season with a 10-2 record and lost in the second round of the playoffs to St. Augustine, 27-21.

This year the team is hopeful that they can repeat that success and even expand on it.
"We have players that are willing to work hard to get better," Ouachita head coach John Carr said. "We have some talented skill players and a number of players with the potential to do some good things."

The key for the Lions in 2011 will likely be the play of senior quarterback Quentin Wheeler.
