Chiefs offense gets new look

The first year of West Ouachita Chiefs football under head coach Joey Pender was one many fans would like to forget. The memories of a 1-9 2010 season and 0-5 district mark were frustrating for a team learning a new system and new playbook.

The Chiefs seem to be poised for a better 2011 but will have to learn a new offensive system under new offensive coordinator Buster Duplissey.

Duplissey is a former Buckeye High School head coach who utilizes a pass oriented offense. Helping this transition to a more pass-heavy offense will be son Brett Duplissey who will start at quarterback this season.
