Mustangs kickoff season
The River Oaks Mustangs begin their regular season schedule Friday at 7 p.m. when they travel to Mississippi to battle the Washington Generals.
Washington was selected in the preseason to win the small school division of Class 3A.
River Oaks is coming off a successful showing in their three-way jamboree in Canton, Miss.
The Mustangs beat Madison-Ridgeland Academy, 8-6, in a one-quarter affair before going one quarter against Canton and beating them 7-0.
