While Ouachita Correctional Center officials have cut costs at the parish prison and revenues have picked up over the past couple of months, OCC is on track to post another deficit at the end of the 2011 fiscal year.

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury continues to review operations at OCC on a monthly basis in light of the ongoing financial issues at the parish prison.

During Monday's regular Police Jury meeting, parish treasurer Brad Cammack said the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office had made some changes in food purchases that could help reduce costs in operations at OCC.
