Monroe wins World Series
The 13-14 year old Monroe All-Stars returned home over the weekend with championship gold in tow.
Monroe went undefeated in the Dixie Junior World Series in Seneca, S.C., last week.
Monroe won five straight games, including an 8-3 championship clincher over Brunswick County, N.C.
In there fourth trip with Monroe to the Dixie Junior World Series, coaches Ryan Flemister and Andy Martin finally got the crown that had alluded them three times previously.
