The Greater Ouachita Port Commission closed out the 2010 fiscal year on a positive note cash-wise, an audit said.

For the year ending Dec. 31, 2010, the commission's net cash for operating activities
and capital contribution was $85,326, compared to a $36,702 deficit during the 2009 fiscal year, according to an conducted by Johnston, Perry, Johnson and Associates, a Monroe CPA firm.

The audit was released late last week by the Legislative Auditor's Office.
