Hamilton Winters recently represented Louisiana in the Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Oration Contest at the 121st Congress meeting of the National Society of the Sons of the America Revolution in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

He is pictured with the President General of the National Association who awarded Hamilton with $200 for his competing in the oration competition. The Louisiana Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution awarded Hamilton with $250 savings bond, $100 cash, and paid his expenses of traveling to the national competition.

Hamilton is 16 and is President of the Junior class at West Monroe High School.
He is the son of Sandie and Stephens Winters.
