Beefmaster Breeders host symposium

The 2011 Beefmaster Breeders United (BBU) Symposium kicks off this weekend at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe. The educational event is scheduled this Friday, July 29-Saturday, July 30.

This year BBU members are joined by 10 industry leaders from Thailand and 3 from Mexico. Those visiting from Thailand will be on hand to learn about the breed to aid in their decision to use the Beefmaster breed throughout Southeast Asia.

Events include a trade show, live cattle display, and educational sessions.
