Darian Long, a 17-year employee with the Ouachita Parish Clerk of Court's Office, recently announced his candidacy for Clerk of Court.

Long hopes to succeed Bill Hodge, who recently announced he would retire soon as Clerk of Court for Ouachita Parish.

The primary election is Oct. 22.

Long is a Neville High School graduate who will begin his 18th year working for the Clerk of Court's office in January.
