River Oaks gets started
The defending Class AA Mississippi Association of Independent Schools champion begins practice this week in Monroe.
The River Oaks Mustangs, led by head coach Robert Hannah, got their practices started Monday as they began their usual one week jump on other area high school teams.
The MAIS begins their games a week before the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
It is an exciting time for the Mustangs. The new players begin to come together with experienced veterans to form what they hope will be another title contender in Monroe.
