NLG&H hears program on WWII

The NLG&H Society met on Sunday, June 12, in the Louis Locke room of the Ouachita Parish Public Library on Stubbs Avenue in Monroe.

James Free presided and welcomed all members and guests before making announcements. Free reminded everyone to turn in information for the quarterly to Monique Keeling, the publisher. Free then turned the meeting over to Lois Ferguson.

Ferguson introduced the speaker, Russell Brown. Brown's program was titled "Bail out, Bail out." Brown served in World War II. He was born in 1924 and gave all the glory to God for everything he is and everything he has, and for his life in general. Brown was a navigator, training at Selman Field. Brown said he had problems with depth perception which limited his vision ability and any hopes of being a pilot.
