NHPA event features local talent
Ouachita Parish has hosted some important amateur and professional sporting events over the years but not many are as unique as the events at the Monroe Civic Center Arena this week.
The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association is holding the 2011 World Horseshoe Pitching Championships in Monroe now through Saturday, July 30.
This is the first time the event has come to Louisiana and the first time that scoring in the event is done electronically.
