A champion for youth athletics
The area lost an avid supporter of local athletics this past week when Jimmy Johnson passed away after suffering a massive heart attack July 13.
Johnson, a local real estate agent, was involved with the Monroe Youth Baseball Association for more than 40 years.
During his time on the baseball fields in Monroe, Johnson coached and served as a board member for the MYBA.
