Award winners announced ahead of banquet
Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 31st Annual Twin Cities Mayors' Committee on Disabilities Awards Banquet that is being held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the West Monroe Convention Center at 901 Ridge, West Monroe.
Winners of seven different awards will be given, as follows: Commercial Award –LSUHSC-Monroe (E.A. Conway Medical Center) -LaDonna Ford, MD, Medical Director, Volunteer Award – Billie Ruth Kvaternik, Distinguished Service Award – Angela Westerburg, Employer Award – J. C. Penny, Family Award – Phil, Linda, and Allen Duckworth, Mayors' Award – Samuel Smith, Media Award – Susie Cumpton and Kevin Copes – KTVE/KARD TV.
Ten educational scholarships will be given to students with disabilities during the evening.
