Angus to modernize Sterlington plant
Gov. Bobby Jindal returned to northeast Louisiana late last week to announce another major development on the economic front.
Jindal joined Angus Chemical officials in Sterlington to announce the company will modernize its manufacturing facility to help retain 174 jobs. Major investments for the modernization include the construction of a new electrical substation and upgrades to the facility's electrical system, a $10.8 million capital investment.
Earlier last week, Jindal joined CenturyLink officials to announce an expansion project that would create 850 new jobs over the next several years.
