While some athletes take years to get to the top of their sport, others show a natural ability that sets them apart from others their age.

So is the case with local track and field athlete Kimora Daniel, known as "Kimy" to friends and family.

Daniel, 7, is a second-grade student at Jack Hayes Elementary in Monroe. She competes with the local track and field team Peak Performance.
