For the first time since 2006, the Ouachita Parish Police Jury received a "no findings" audit.
The audit of the Police Jury's 2010 fiscal year was presented to police jurors Monday during their regular meeting.

The audit was conducted by Luffey, Huffman, Ragsdale and Soignier, a certified public accountant firm located in Monroe.

At the close of the 2010 fiscal year, which ended Dec. 31, 2010, assets of the Police Jury exceeded its liabilities by $262.1 million. Of that amount, $22.2 million was unrestricted net assets which may be used by the Police Jury to meet its obligations to citizens and creditors.
