OPPJ delays discussion on flood control projects

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury is expected to review parish-wide flood control projects at its July 5 meeting.

Roughly two weeks ago, the Police Jury requested its engineer, Tom Holtzclaw, update projects to improve drainage and flooding issues throughout the parish while the Police Jury looks into funding sources to implement the projects.

The Police Jury declined to discuss the matter during its regular meeting Monday to give Holtzclaw more time to review the projects.
