Golfers tee off on area courses
More local golf tournaments are on the way to Ouachita Parish while one local golfer continues to stay busy on the senior amateur tour.
Calvert Crossing Golf Club in Calhoun will be hosting the four-ball Fourth of July Tournament in the coming weeks and the other course on the Southern Pines grounds, Pine Hills Course, will play host to the Louisiana Amateur Tour on July 30.
In the meantime, Jeff Pilcher, a local Monroe policeman, has toured the state playing in multiple Louisiana Senior Tour events.
