Monroe officials hear Webber tout parish system Ouachita Parish Schools is one of the best school systems in the state thanks to support from the community, businesses and organizations like the chambers of commerce.
That's according to Ouachita Parish Schools Superintendent Dr. Bob Webber, who spoke before a group of business leaders and Monroe Chamber of Commerce officials Tuesday at The Atrium.
"We have great teachers, great students and some of the finest facilities in the state, and that's due to our local people," Webber said. "The state doesn't send us money to build and renovate schools. It's our local taxpayers who help us with that."
