Library of Congress exhibit coming to Monroe library

A special Library of Congress traveling exhibition—mounted in a customized 18-wheel truck—will visit Monroe for two days in June.

"Gateway to Knowledge" will be in Monroe on Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18, and will be parked at the Ouachita Parish Public Library's main branch, located at 1800 Stubbs Avenue.

The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The exhibition brings high-quality facsimiles of many of the Library's top treasures and information about the millions of resources in the Library's unparalleled collections to small towns and rural communities across America.
